Answering the Most Common Questions About EASA Exams

Understanding Student Concerns

Prospective and current students often have questions related to exam preparation, scheduling flexibility, and the structure of the learning process. Addressing these topics clearly is essential to ensure an efficient training experience and to help candidates progress without unnecessary uncertainty.

The following sections outline key areas of interest and provide guidance based on standard training practices.

Why Are There Two Learning Platforms and Which One Should Be Used?

Students have access to two complementary learning platforms, both based on the same official source material but designed to support different aspects of the training process.

The first platform provides the complete official module content, including full theoretical material, instructional videos in English, and exam-style quizzes. The second platform we developed at 360 Aviation Life offers a structured summary of the official content, recorded classes in both English and Spanish, additional quizzes, a technical glossary, and memory tools such as flashcards. Content is organized by submodules to facilitate contextual understanding and practical application.

In addition, students have access to an artificial intelligence support tool designed to assist with questions related to the syllabus, as well as scheduled review sessions prior to official exam sittings.

This dual approach ensures that all content originates from the official material while being delivered in multiple formats to improve comprehension. It is important to note that EASA examinations assess understanding of technical context, procedures, and maintenance criteria, rather than memorization. For this reason, a combination of theoretical study, practical application, and instructor-led sessions is recommended.

As a general guideline, students are encouraged to begin with modules they are already familiar with, particularly those related to their daily work experience. Module 9 (Human Factors) is often considered an accessible starting point.

What Topics Are Typically Assessed in the Module 7 Essay Examination?

There is no official or fixed list of essay topics, as these are defined by the examining authority and may vary between sessions.

However, all essay questions are based on the official content of Module 7 (Maintenance Practices) and typically assess the candidate’s ability to explain and apply key concepts. Common areas of focus include maintenance procedures, operational safety, correct use of technical documentation, and best practices within the aviation environment.

Preparation should therefore be comprehensive and based on a clear understanding of the full module content. Emphasis should be placed on practical application and the ability to communicate technical information accurately, in line with EASA requirements.

Is It Possible to Schedule an Exam Outside Standard Hours?

Exam scheduling may allow for adjustments in specific cases, depending on internal planning and operational feasibility.

When necessary, alternative arrangements can be organized to allow a student to sit an exam outside the standard schedule. In such cases, administrative adjustments are made internally, and confirmation is provided separately with the exact date and time.

This type of flexibility is handled on a case-by-case basis while ensuring that all examination conditions remain compliant with regulatory standards.

Why Do Some Modules Have Fewer Exam Sessions?

The frequency of exam sessions is influenced by demand and specialization.

Certain modules, such as Module 12 for B1.3 licensing, tend to have a lower number of candidates throughout the year. As a result, exam sessions are scheduled less frequently and may be centralized in specific locations where demand is higher.

This approach allows training providers to maintain efficient organization and consistent examination standards while adapting to actual student demand. Scheduling may be reviewed if the number of candidates increases in a particular location.

What If an Exam Is Not Scheduled in the Current Session?

Each exam session is defined by a specific list of modules approved for that cycle. Due to regulatory and administrative requirements, it is not possible to add additional exams outside of this predefined structure.

Exams can only be taken during sessions where the module is officially scheduled. However, where possible, students may be reassigned within the same session if the module is included and scheduling conditions allow for it.

For this reason, it is important to review the official exam calendar in advance and plan accordingly to ensure availability for the desired module.

Next Steps for Students

A clear understanding of the training structure, examination requirements, and scheduling limitations is essential for effective progression through aviation examinations. By combining structured theoretical learning with practical preparation tools, and by aligning study plans with official exam sessions, students can approach their training with greater clarity and confidence.
