The duration of the course depends on your study pace. However, on average, students complete the course within 4 months. The self-paced nature of our courses allows you to study according to your schedule and progress at a comfortable speed.

AGE : Applicants must be at least 18 years old

Education: There are no specific educational requirements, but a high school diploma or equivalent is generally recommended.

Experience: Minimum of 18 months of practical experience in either airframe or powerplant maintenance, or 30 months of combined experience in both.

Certified mechanic, repairman, or an FAA-approved aviation maintenance technician school are required.

Provide documentation and evidence of your work experience, such as logbooks or letters from employers. More information check the review from the FAA and consult with their local Flight Standards District Office (FSDO)

LANGUAGE: English proficiency is required for exams.

The FAA-A&P exam, designed to certify competency in aircraft structure and engine maintenance, is a comprehensive process that typically takes place over a six-day period. This includes both written and oral practical examinations. These six days enable candidates to go through every aspect of the exam in depth.

WRITTEN EXAMS:

  • General: This section covers subjects such as mathematics, physics, electricity and electronics applied to aviation.
  • Airframe : This exam tests your knowledge of the construction, maintenance and repair of aircraft structures.
  • Powerplant: This covers aircraft engines, including operation, maintenance and repair.

ORAL AND PRATICAL EXAMENS:
Once you have passed the written exams, you can move on to the oral practical exams. These consist of demonstrations of practical skills in the maintenance of airframes and powerplants. Examiners test your ability to perform specific tasks to FAA standards.

– Airframe:

During this part of the exam, the examiner will ask you oral questions about aircraft structure maintenance. You will also be asked to perform practical tasks to demonstrate your competence.

– Powerplant :

In a similar way, this part focuses on aircraft engines. You will answer oral questions and perform practical tasks related to engine maintenance.
